The Goal
To design a user-friendly carpooling platform that reduces travel costs, improves safety, and simplifies commuting for daily city and intra-city travelers. The aim was to build a reliable system that connects the right riders and drivers with minimal friction, especially during peak hours and late-night travel.
What I Did
I led the end-to-end product design process, starting with user research to understand commuter pain points. I mapped out key user journeys, designed intuitive ride booking and sharing flows, and created a clean, responsive interface in Figma. I also developed a component-based design system to ensure consistency and collaborated with stakeholders to align on features like route-based ride matching, gender-safe ride options, and real-time ride tracking.
Impact
The result was a seamless carpooling experience that addressed key issues like high travel costs, inefficient routes, and safety concerns. The intuitive UI and smart routing logic enhanced user trust and convenience, setting the foundation for a scalable, community-driven transport solution.
